117 too rich for my blood, baby

I've got 4 games (all Sat nites) scoped out, including sat before Xmas in case Gaz honors us with another holiday visit.

It's not that costly. At least try for Sec 215 so you can be near Drew. Want to go to a game with me if I sit "up there?"

Well, here are the games I'm planning to buy tix for:

Sat 10/13, v. Bruins (Home opener)
Fri 11/30, v. Avalanche (day after Thanksgv.)
Sat 12/22 v. Ducks
Sat 1/19 v. RedWings
and possibly
Sat 2/9 v. Predators

I always buy 2 seats even if I end up going alone, which is why I have to buy cheap.  You're welcome to join me for any of these (except Dec if Gaz is here for Xmas).  I really can't do weeknight games, unfortunately.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Very, very kind of you to hold a seat open for me, Mike - thank you!  I would love love love to make another SF trip this Christmas.  But I'm low man on the totem pole in Time's copy department, so unless we have a "dark week" at Christmastime, I'm not sure I'll get to take that time off.  Will keep you posted.  Thanks again for the generous invite!

OMFG! Barry finally did it!!!

er, no, not that Barry. The other one. Barry Z got his first-ever major-league RBI via a bunt tonight (what a silly bunt!).  Congrats, Mr Zito.

Meanwhile, WTF is up with the split-screen Bonds-Cam during the commercials? He's Sitting. In. The. Fucking. DUGOUT! -- we need to see that side-by-side with a Jack Daniels spot?

Yes, that Barry -- less than 45 mins later, he hits 756.  The night of nights, and it's finally over.

Down here we were watching it on ESPN, and the announcers were awful.  Did you guys get to watch it with our local guys?

Where are you?
Spectacular baseball night. I was offered tix for the night and had to say no thanks cuz I'm on vacay. Dang.
Was out to dinner and place had Dish but no FSN so we got home but didn't tune in till 9pm. All I have seen is all the replays. Did get to watch tho all night thru press conf and Kuip and Kruks two on one w Barry.
I like how he shot down two questioners in the press conf. Barry handled all questions beautifully.

I could not believe they were doing that.  I was rooting for barry to pick his nose, scractch his crotch, or otherwise increase the absurdity.

Congrats to Barry, of course.  I am damned glad it's over though...

jeezus, this has been one weird week for local castoffs.  Less than a week after Milton Bradley accuses the A's of being racist, they designate their only black player (Shannon Stewart) for assignment (!) ... and now this.

Ah LURVES me some Mark Sweeney -- he will be missed.
