OMGWTFLOL! He actually played solo David Johanssen, "Funky But Chic". Yet another album Dave's never dropped the needle on. And Meat Loaf too!

Best '78 set ever?

it wasn't bad at all!

Today's set is brought to you by a drip trip: Flip Fantasia.

(Actually, she's a big girl; I don't think I could flip her.)

Argh: "Ants Marching" is probably my least favorite track from Under the Table and Dreaming.

HM to "Star 69" and Mellencamp's version of "Wild Night," neither of which I've heard in ages.  Probably the best kind of '94 set I could have hoped for.

And an easy BOS to Hole's "Doll Parts," still emotionally impactive after all these years (and all of Courtney's more pathetic stunts).

OMG! He played US3's "Cantaloop"? I'm impressed.

That song by Mocean Worker that KFOG is playing is essentially a retread of "Cantaloop", IMHO.

a Peak '89 sensation. Compare & contrast to Dave's.  Didn't recognize song # 1, but here's the Cure's "Love Song" in the #2 slot.

What is it about 1989? I'm starting to nod off 20 minutes in. Henley's "Heart of the Matter" isn't helping. Such a graceless age, indeed.

sounds like somebody told Rob Arrow his movie clips were too long. We're getting small bites now. Still, VHM to the brief Heathers clip. "Bulimia's so 1987..."

YAY! Macca's "My Brave Face" singlehandedly saves the day. Why oh Why has Dave never played this?

1989 on the Peak Friday 4/22.  BOS goes to Macca's "My Brave Face," which really should be as much of a Morey staple as, say, "Veronica."  His last great lyric.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

and a nice seg into an EC song that's NOT "Veronica". "Deep Dark Truthful Mirror", VHM at very least ("Brave Face" being my BOS too).
