Wife's uncle went with his family (wife and 8-year old son) and was wildly underwhelmed. I think it was a combination of the cost ($25 or something right?) and lack of anything to *DO*. He's more of a hands-on kind of guy, and of course it's not so much fun to look at phasers behind glass as it is to play with them or build them yourselves.Also, don't they have a ridiculous "no photography" policy? That killed it for me. I mean, ok fine, we can't play with any of the props, but WTH, $25 and we can't take pictures of them?

A great sadness has come upon me. Just now, whilst watching TNG on WGN, an announcement scrolled across the bottom of the screen: Next week, the broadcast time will be 1AM PT! The horror, the horror!

No, I'm not sure exactly how a Star Trek franchise landed on a channel that's purported to be wholly British (maybe Patrick Stewart had something to do with it?) but I'll take it.(Aside: And just be glad you're not in Chicago. It'd be a 3am broadcast there. Who the hell can watch that but off-duty bartenders and cab drivers?)

It turns out my lame comcast service doesn't include BBC America. I don't know if I can stay up late enough for the KOFY broadcast, but at least it will work for Friday nights when I can stay up late.
