As we're all waiting for everyone to see the movie before discussing, I am watching my usual Monday night overload of TNG episodes on the SciFi channel. The episode is called "
The Hunted." It is a typical socially conscious plot based on how soldiers become hard to reintegrate into society. While being typically preachy, it did seem particularly timely, using phrases about how what happened to the soldiers was 'the will of the people' and so on. It seemed as if it were some current plot, based on the current war. I mean, this wasn't all that subtle, but coming from 1990, I imagine it was based on Vietnam experiences?
