So, have we figured out a way to see the Princess before she goes all Liza Minelli on us?

POC, where are you hanging for your last couple of weeks?

In another thread, a gathering at Chevy's was suggested -- poc said this Fri, 7/15, was good for her, but 2 folks shot it down so we're still trying to set a date.

well that's good, my folks are in town this weekend & we'll be up in Mendocino most of the time.  I can attend any other date.

I have a gig in Saratoga next Friday (22), so that's out. And that weekend is sorta sketchy. I may leave the following weekend, but I may be here for a week or two in August. It's all up in the air right now. I'll keep you guys posted. If we can't pull it together for this time, then we'll have a raging party next summer, no?

speaking of thee parkside... they're having a Hank Williams karaoke thing this weekend -- some band whose name escapes me has a repertoire of 40 Hank songs; they'll play while you sing (one version per song so you gotta go early to get dibs on yer fave). Sounds like a hoot!

Keep me posted. I missed other messages about get together. My lurk/post time is limited during the day, for the time being anyways. You can't go to Germany and save the party for next summer!

Wed the 20th would be ideal to cook dinner, as I'm taking the day off after seeing Robert Plant the nite before. Shall we pencil it in?
