Robertson's many recent predictions are listed in this article, and of his imperfect record he says, "I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."

But if God is talking to him how could He have anything less than a perfect record?  Surely then it is Robertson's hearing that is imperfect, and yet his faith definitely includes the belief that the Bible is the literal word of GOD, so if Pat gets some of God's words wrong who's to say that the ancient writers didn't as well?

It's either that or having to admit that what he really heard was his id seeking media attention.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

God is but one of many odd creatures whose voices Pat Robertson hears regularly, the poor thing.  Cf: " 'He was very religious. He was not in his right mind,' said Nene Principe, a family friend."

I don't like Al Franken that much because he tends to be an asshole to those that disagrees with him (even just a little) but he sure did a GREAT Pat Robertson impression during the late 80's on SNL.

interesting story about a guy who started a one-man campaign to educate KSFO's advertisers about just what exactly they're supporting by buying time on the station:

What interested me was the point (which hadn't occurred to me) that ABC/Disney sells their stations as a package to advertisers based on the ABC/Disney "image" -- so Starbucks, Toyota or whoever is placing ads based on that, without really understanding that Melanie Morgan is advocating blowing up the NY Times or that Brian Sussman is asking callers to say "Allah is a whore" (to think he used to be a warm-n-fuzzy weather guy on Channel 5!).

Of course, boycotts are not new, and the right is free to do something similar (and they have and they will). But the fact that this particular  endeavor has the right (and KSFO management) royally pissed off is good enough for me.

Michael Moore and Stephen Colbert

Moore and Colbert both agree that millions more troops are needed!

Moore only wants about 60 million, while I think Colber is asking for around 300 million.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

Remember when Colbert stirred up shit at the White House Correspondents' Dinner last year?  So this year they've invited...  RICH LITTLE???

The folks who work at the Grand Canyon (National Parks Service types) are NOT ALLOWED to say how old the Canyon is -- because that would piss off Creationists who say the earth is only 6,000 years old:

I cannot WAIT to catch the replay of the O'Reilly-on-Colbert show tonite. Sadly, I didn't realize Colbert was also making an appearance on O'Reilly.

Thanks, Republican senatorial assholes, for holding back the minimum wage increase; I hope your children someday have to survive on $5.15 an hour.

Think I'll say it again: FUCK THE SENATE
