Hope Ali is watching tonite, as the Sharks are 20 mins away from a Division title -- leading the Ducks (last year's Cup champs) 3-1 after 2 periods in LA Disneyland Anaheim.
Ladies and gents, your Pacific Division champs: the San Jose Sharks!!! WOO F---ING HOO! Alicat, you have the floor...
Indeed, woooo f---ing hoo!
I was THERE on Thursday. JR rocks.
I MUST gush....
I didn't know it was an early start but I arrived about 6:30, heard music, looked down and saw the pregame skate started. I rushed down to the glass by the Sharks bench and delighted in the action. I had my "big" camera and was shooting some action. Lo and behold, JR stopped in front of me. He was going to flip a puck to the crowd. Not an uncommon event. I thought he flipped it and I looked up and over my shoulder to see where it went. I looked back at him and he looked at me like I was an idiot and was waiting for me to put my hands up to be ready to get the puck. OMFG! (I KNOW he recognizes me) Lady next to me raised her hand as the puck came up and over the glass, she got a slight elbow from me (get the hell outta the way) and I had an icy puck in hand. JR smiled and skated away. This was not the "practice" puck my kids got a month or so back. It says "official NHL" and has the Sharks logo on it. My legs were wobbly after that. That man just has it going on!
Tremendous game as well. This was my last game of the season until playoffs.
Saw the Ducks game on TV at a bowling alley. Saw the final 5 in the bar while they had karaoke going on. The game was much better than the live entertainment. I think the singers were happier when the game was over and I was gone! I hooted and hollered a little at the TV while they were singing. C'est la vie.
