With Krukow having the weeking off, tonite's Giants/A's game (on Ch 11) has beeen a Jon Miller/Eric Byrnes collab -- and most entertaining, even tho' the G-Men are losing.

OTOH: Nate Schierholz's new moustache is even worse than Zito's. Sheesh.

I find Byrnes' voice grating, but he occasionally had something interesting to say.

ESPN Magazine is out with its rankings of the 122 major-league sports franchises.  See how Bay Area teams fared:

I'm going to celebrate summer tonight with a cold summery ale at the ball park. Should be a LOT cooler in SF that on the Peninsula.
Sharks bleed teal.

they're saying a high of 84 in SF today -- should still be fairly warm at AT&T at gametime.

WTFF? Sharks signed Devin Such-a-cutie Setoguchi to a 3-year, $9M deal yesterday... and today they traded him to Minnesota??

Yay, G-Men: they've won 7 in a row, including both games of a doubleheader against the Cubs today. First game they scored 13 runs (!) and 2nd game was a Barry Zito win (!!)

The A's are doing an " '80s Night" this month and are giving away an MC Hammer bobblehead.

But Hammer had all his hits in the '90s. WTF?

And the bobbler isn't wearing Hammer's signature parachute pants.
Let's get right to it.

Yeah, it looks more like he's wearing a Talbots pantsuit.

A's trade Mark Ellis to the Rockies:

meanwhile, a Brian Wilson blown save sends the G-men into extra innings...
