email joke
« Reply #135 on: June 01, 2005, 01:35:46 PM »
rather than start a new thread, or resend, I just thought I'd post this joke I received from a friend, a retired school teacher:

A little boy got on the bus, sat next to a man reading a book, and noticed
he had his collar on backwards.  The little boy asked why he wore his collar that way.

The man, who was a priest, said, "I am a Father."

The little boy replied, "My daddy doesn't wear his collar like that."

The priest looked up from his book and answered "I am the Father of many."

The boy said, "My dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he
doesn't wear his collar that way."

The priest, getting impatient, said, "I am the Father of hundreds!" and went back to reading his book.....

The little boy sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and said,
"Maybe you should wear your pants backwards instead of your collar."

I knew DA would have a field day with this one, but the best part is the faux headline in the last frame:

DEEP THROAT ALSO ADMITS TO BEING BIGFOOT, NESSIE
ALL THE WORLD'S MYSTERIES NOW SOLVED
"I did it all because I was pissed that I didn't get that promotion."
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

To elaborate a smidgen: Britney's husband, Kevin Federline, has two children from his prior relationship with Shar Jackson, a black woman.

And before POC says it, yes, that above line should be read as if it's one of the professorial declamations in Stevie Wonder's "Black Man."

Folkies with attitude:

http://www.ninagordon.com/audio/straightouttacompton.mp3

(Speakers off for this one, or at least make sure the kiddies (and hypersensitive cow orkers) are tucked safe in their beds.)

There was another acoustic take on a hip hop tune that got airplay on Live 105 a couple years ago, but I can't remember the name of the song or the artist (par for the course for me). Any help?

Are you thinking of Luka Bloom's cover of LL Cool J's "I Need Love"?  Or are you thinking of Dynamite Hack's version of "Boyz N The Hood"?

Dynamite Hack is more likely to have been Live 105 fodder -- the Luka Bloom has shown up on KFOG's Acoustic Sunrise (and probably nowhere else).

Yeah, I think it was Dynamite Hack. Thanks for filling in the (sizable) gaps in my diminishing memory.
