BOS "Eve of Destruction."  I'm trying to think of the latest overtly political song to chart Top 10, and unless you count M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" (which I don't), I'm drawing a blank.

First and only Hot 100 hit to use the word coagulatin'.  "I'm just sittin' here" ... tryin' not to make the obvious joke.

Yayayay!  Much better than the listless, serious cover by Dave Alvin. Have ya heard it?  It's actually kinda cool sounding, but I think the wrong tone for the song.

I remember that I had heard "Eve of Destruction" quite a few times before I realized that it wasn't Dylan.  And even then I assumed it had to be from '67 or '68.  It really startled me to learn that people were thinking/feeling/writing songs this way already in '65.

does Prince's "Sign o' the Times" count as political?

Another BOS for me.  But I would like for AL to play the Johnny Winter cover form (I think) '71 sometime.
