I vividly recall small pieces of this survey. The autumn of 1980, I was in second grade, and was enrolled in a gifted-kids class in another school; once a week one of the mothers (I suppose because they didn't want to shell out for a bus) would drive me and a couple other kids to and from these classes. She always had on a station playing what we'd now call secretary rock; I got a very steady diet of Leo Sayer's "More Than I Can Say" and Barbra Streisand's "Woman in Love." (Meanwhile, at the bus stop, I was hearing Michael Jackson and Queen.)
ETA: And very much "Upside Down" from that radio station - so maybe "secretary rock" isn't so apt.
