You are sunshine; you are shadow.  You are Captain; you are Dragon.  And Toni wants to touch you.

For years I only knew this song through Carol Burnett.

OMG, this song was everywhere  --- I recall watching the Gong Show back then and EVERY act came out and did version of "Feelings."

I hate this "I Get Around" segment they often play during commercial breaks - Mike Love is such a fucking dick.

Y'know, now that you mention it, I'm sure I saw a few renditions (or attempted renditions) on the Gong Show as well.

"This Will Be" an eHarmony ad someday.  I still love the opening, though I think Natalie oversells it at the end.

I think you're right about the ending.  It turns the song off for me.  I've never really dug it... but this Spinnners' tune was always a fave!

For the longest time I thought the high voice in this Spinners tune was a woman!

I just learned that it is!  Apparently the Spinners hadn't recorded that bridge, and they were out of the country when the producer wanted to finish, so he used someone else.

That someone else was Barbara Ingram.

No, the mustachioed guy lip-syncing the part on Soul Train is crazy.
