America was always one of my sentimental faves
yeah, me, too. Never a critical fave, I hear, but they made some good songs.
I saw them a couple years ago at Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton. Fun to see 'em up close. They were so young when they hit it big (1972 Grammy for Best New Artist) that they're still relatively young (late 50s). A fun show, I especially dig long version of Sandman from first album.
seeing bands-well-past-their-prime-at-county-fairs is one of my favorite hobbies!
