Unfortunately, that was the short version of "Beeeyotch Baby," wasn't it.

Boy, I remember we'd turn the dial upon hearing this Bobby Vinton tune :P
You can take the nice Polish boy out of the Nation's steel belt, but you can't take the polka out of him! Polka is forever.
True, but you can understand that when a teenager in '74 it wasn't cool with your friends to be diggin' many of the syrupy pop or more adult/mature songs.

Now let's get our groove on with da funky "Do It..."

This kind of surreal coexistence is what I adore about these replays:

Quote
#29 “STRAIGHT SHOOTIN’ WOMAN” – Steppenwolf

#28 “THE NEED TO BE” – Jim Weatherly

#27 “MY MELODY OF LOVE” – Bobby Vinton

#26 “BEACH BABY” – First Class

#25 “ANOTHER SATURDAY NIGHT” – Cat Stevens

#24 “DO IT (‘TIL YOU’RE SATISFIED)” – B.T. Express

#23 “EARACHE MY EYE FEATURING ALICE BOWIE” – Cheech & Chong
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

I hear ya, bro.  I personally don't like that Vinton song that much myself.

As we discussed on a recent 10at10, here's info on "Life Is a Rock", with list of all names mentioned in the tune:

I had no idea of the existence of this Righteous Brothers song - whoa.  Was this before or after "Rock & Roll Heaven"?

Sayeth Wikipedia: The Sun, a UK-based tabloid daily newspaper, caused controversy with its reporting of Hatfield's death, namely with the front page headline of: You've lost that livin' feeling
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
