Gotta say I won't be upset if I miss this one. How many times can I do my Andy Gibb "Love Is Thicker Than My Penis" and Rod Stewart "Urine My Heart" jokes, anyway?

Thanks for the updates.  I'll try to catch the '80s but will skip the '70s this time.

Indeed it does trump that '77 chart -- all the above would be BOS or VHM candidates for me; and I find the Eddie Murphy a Guilty Pleasure (it's a Rick James record, for all intents & purposes) but far from a HFH. And we've already heard my defense of "We Built This City".

I emailed the program director of KMMX in Lubbock and he gave me the date and year. A collector of shows was kind enough to let me know the extras and LDDs based off of cue sheet.

"As" is a great song.  Not one of his biggest charting songs but smooth as silk.  Stevie could do no  wrong during the 70's.  "Songs In The Key of Life" is a masterpiece.

Agreed on all counts - though I prefer Talking Book and Innervisions to SITKOL on the whole.

dittoes.  And I caught the '70s show this morning; turned out to be quite enjoyable. BOSes to High Energy's fab "You Can't Turn Me Off" and Ms Coolidge's Scaggs cover. VHMs to Shaun Cassidy and the Bay City Rollers.

Kind of pathetic how this is Starship's first number one (they would have two more) and Murphy hit #2. People sure had bad taste in the 1980's (then again we could say that with every era. Look how long Debby Boone hit #1 with You Light up My Life).

Kahuna and Wayback, I need you and Mike and any other 10@10ers who listen to these in joining me in petitioning to Jambi that we get a 1972 set sometime in the next 3 weekends.  I've been longing for 2 years to hear a set on or around my birthdate (12/15/72) to hear what the world sounded like on that day.  No luck so far.  Not optimistic now since there seems to be a black hole in recovering '73 charts of late autumn.  But we'll see.

Meantime, looking forward to "Just to Be Close to You" (Aw!!) and "Love So Right" (Bee Gees falsetto stratosphere clinic, second only to tender "Fanny").
I've got some great news for you Gazoo.  I've gotten advance word through the grapevine that this weekends upcoming countdown will be from December 16, 1972.   Happy Birthday!!!                                         http://www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/12-16-72.pdf                                                                      By the way the B side of "Angel" that was mistakenly played was "Los Paraguayos" not "What Made Milwaukee Famous (Made a Loser Out of Me)".
