Early heads-up: Me-TV, which has been showing Trek in chron-order, will be showing the next-to-last ep of Season One, "The City on the Edge of Forever" next Sat nite (9/21). Always on everyone's short list of Best. Episodes. EVAH. Written by the great Harlan Ellison and winner of a Hugo award. Joan Collins when she was hawt. What more do you need? Be there. Aloha.

Seeing lots of cool thing on fb, I'll dump some of them in this thread.

https://www.peacecorps.gov/stories/5-ways-peace-corps-service-is-like-star-trek/

and don't forget the Trek "like" buttons

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/09/08/star-trek-50th-anniversary-facebook

Apparently you only get then if you've liked the official Star Trek FB page...

an article about my favorite TNG episode, which turns out to be a favorite of a lot of people

http://io9.gizmodo.com/the-making-of-star-trek-the-next-generations-greatest-1786330645

One thing I'd like to add that was not mentioned in the article, and seems somewhat obvious to me, is the comparison between this story and "The Last Temptation of Christ."
