Have any of you ever played Guitar Hero or Rock Band?  I've been curious.

SNL did a bit last week about a new game that's meant to be a hip-hop version of GH, in which players pretend to scratch records like hip-hop DJs. "Its for kids who are too lazy to pretend to play guitar!" was the line.

I've played it for a minute or two -- my nephew loves that game.  But I'm not much of a gamer, and didn't care enough to figure out what I was supposed to do.  If I was going to put some time into learning something musical, I'd dust off my guitars and really learn to play them beyond the 3 chords and 4 riffs I know now.

Nope. The CNET news department had one while I was there, but the jerks would always insist on playing it (loudly) while we were on deadline in reviews, so that just put me off it altogether.

I haven't, but the Beatles thing is supposed to be different in that in takes you thru the creative development of their songs, from '63 to '70!

Then it should come with weed and amphetamines!

During tonight's ep of Top Chef, there was an ad for LL Bean featuring Valley Winter Song by Fountains of Wayne.
Let's get right to it.
