John Lennon + Louis Rich = Cold Turkey

I also envisioned a commercial with Ace Frehley offering his support to the NY mayoral campaign of Michael Bloomberg: "I'm back! - backin' a New York Jew ..."

I guess this thread will work for this.

Meatloaf's "I Will Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" is used to pretty good effect in a Dr. Pepper add I saw the other day.  Basically, a guy doing all kinds of romantic stuff with his girlfriend, only to balk at sharing his Dr. Pepper with her.

Pretty well done, and made a lot more sense than the Meatloaf video...

feh. at least *she'll* be getting the royalties. methinks that's one of the two songs on the album she co-wrote.

"Daydream Believer" is now an e-Bay commercial (part of the new "it" campaign).

This doesn't involve a specific song, but it makes me very sad to report that Queen Latifah is appearing in a commercial for the evil Wal-Mart.

Queen Latifah Muu-Muu's for the big-boned gal!

It's a spot with Queen L & her mother (or an actress playing her mom) Xmas shopping at da 'Mart.  The Pizza Hut voice-overs are bad enough -- sheesh, Latifah, if yer gonna sell out, at least go upscale!

"The Dana Owens Album" didn't pay for itself.  And Teef isn't ready to shill for Olivia cruises ... yet.
