I really, really hate the new Taco Bell commercial for the "Pina Colada" drink. All of you could guess what song was used for this commercial.
"One Mint Julep"?
"99 bottles of beer on the wall?"

MasterCard has a new promotion involving jeans -- the TV spots use (of course) "Jean Genie"

It had to happen: Aqua's "Barbie Girl", which Mattell once tried to sue them over, is now being used to sell... Barbies!

"Be My Baby" for Cialis.  Not the Ronettes version, however. Which is funny because Ronnie Spector cured a lot of guys my age of any ED they may have had, back in the day.

Mr MeatLoaf Aday is doing commercials for A-1 Steak Sauce, singing "I'd Do Anything For Love". The tagline: A-1 Makes Meat Loaf Sing, har har.

If, like me, you were wondering who does that song on the iPod Nano commercial, EW reports the song is "Bourgeois Shangri-La" by a Swedish singer named Linda Carlsson (aka Miss Li). No mention in the EW item whether she is either sampling or ripping off "Count Me In" by Gary Lewis and the Playboys, which is sure what it sounds like to me.

I saw that ad for the first time tonight and instantly made the same connection!
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

I just found some snazzy Crest dental floss in my mom's bathroom. Why has no one used "Switching to Glide" yet? :)

"All You Need Is Love" ... for BlackBerry?

These are irreverent times because there is nothing left to revere.

Just heard that one. Also another ad that used part of Yes' Your Move (the first half of I've Seen All Good People) as a music bed. Can't recall what the product was.
Let's get right to it.

Those are for some new card from Chase; "Chase Signature" or something equally unoriginal.

Weirdest pairing I've seen lately: Macy's is using "Come On-a My House" in all their ads, made famous 50+ years ago by Rosemary Clooney. Who's their target demo? 75-year-old gay men?
