I dig that groovy Barbarella commercial.  Enjoying "Listen to the Flower People"  ;)
yea, very cool.  I've never seen the movie, though.  Is it worth the trouble?
next time we hit the late 90s, it'd be good to hear Duran Duran's Electric Barbarella.  It was a single in the US in 97, in the UK in 99.
this set has been a pleasant surprise so far...  I thought it was going to be a tired 103.7 Oldies fest.
Barbarella is a B-sci-fi, probably pretty dated looking now.  That's how Duran Duran got their band name, the angel in the film is named Duran Duran.

a Manson Family show!

Oh, that reminds me.  Next time we hit up the late 90s I'll have to to request some Marilyn Manson.  AL can take her pick (or not) of:

1995: Sweet Dreams
1996: The Beautiful People
1997: Tourniquet
1998: The Dope Show
1999: I Don't Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)
2002: Tainted Love
2003: mOBSCENE

Tinka, all you need to see are the opening credits.

awww... Dion, Martin and John.  those glistening harps are a bit over-the-top.

Yes, much of the instrumentation is quite dated, but if you listen with real speakers or headphones, you'll hear a real tasty bass line.  Ironically, Moms Mabley's version also had a great bass line.  I don't know who's on either track.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!
