2. Big Audio Dynamite II- Rush
3. Blur- There's No Other Way
(Movie: The Fisher King/ Jeff Bridges/Mercedes Ruehl)
4. Dire Straits- The Bug
5. REM- Texarkana
6. Simple Minds- See The Lights
(News: Baltic States/Soviet Union)
7. Jesus Jones- Right Here, Right Now
8. U2- Even Better Than The Real Thing
(Movie: City Slickers/ Billy Crystal)
9. Warren Zevon- Searching For a Heart
(Movie: Fisher King/Robin Williams/Amanda Plummer)
10. Pearl Jam- Alive
Anyone know which song won the popular BOS vote? I'd love to think it was the Zevon tune, but my guess would be U2 or Pearl Jam.
I agree about missing Warren, Geoff. I didn't get to see him a lot, but I've always really enjoyed his work, throughout his career. And Searching For a Heart is one of his best, imo. I read his biography (penned by his ex-wife Crystal) earlier this year. It pulls no punches--he was a drunkard of the first order, then became totally OCD once he sobered up. And he wrote amazingly touching songs that could have come from no one else.
