compare & contrast to Dave's '68 set on Fri, which will be hard to beat. And since Bob's on vacay, I suspect this week's Drive sets will be a tad less creative.

"Hi, I'm Archie Bell of the Drells, of Houston, Texas.  And we don't only sing, but we dance just as good as we wanna."

Best Intro EVER.  And BOS today.

P.S.  Is there an actual dance maneuver called the "Tighten Up," or is it just an edict to get up, get into it, get involved?

"Hi, I'm Jerry Garcia of the Dead, of San Francisco, California.  And we don't only sing, but we dance just as good as we wanna."

We interrupt this to say: Holy Sh!t!  Demo version of "Hello It's Me!"  If Bob were trying to top Dave, this would be the way to do it.

I assumed it was a local dance craze, tho' I've never actually seen it. But tighten up on the mondegreen now: it's "we dance just as good as we walk".

"Demo"? -- or the original Nazz version? the latter, I'd say.

WOS: Kermit the Frog and Canned Heat, "On the Road Again."  Unlistenable.

Oh stop -- Kermit's a MUCH better singer. Maybe Dave'll play "Rainbow Connection" in '79 today!

great segue we did at college radio back at UCSB, playing this song into Buffalo Springfield "Rock and Roll Woman" which has the same kind of droning shtick; blends seamlessly.
