HM to Monty Hall just for being unexpected.

agreed, especially since he was once the spinner of the 10@10 Big Wheel.

BOS Steppenwolf, "Sookie Sookie" -- also unexpected.

VHM Hermann Hesse's favorite rock band.

Greg Kihn was just saying yesterday that this was a great band but people only know 2 or 3 of their songs.  True for me I suppose.

Just because I'm gullible, I was not talking about the Dead (I know the respect they get around here   ) I was talking about the lead singer, Al Wilson, who committed suicide.

absoulutely. "Classic rock" radio plays the 3 hit singles and that's it.  "Monster", "The Pusher"... great stuff.

"Hello, I'm Johnny Cash."

It's a day for memorable intros here.

Wow!  BOS "Folsom Prison Blues"

Who is this guy subbing for Bob?  He is doing a great job.  (although I say that because I have nothing against "On The Road Again")

BOS2 Mr Cash! Awesome.

Lance Niekro of the Giants is apparently a big Johnny fan... they played a different Cash song before each of his at-bats on Sunday.

AMG isn't of much help on this one:

Quote
After two big chart hits with "Goin' Up the Country" and an explosive version of Wilbert Harrison's "Let's Work Together," Wilson died under mysterious (probably drug-related) circumstances in 1970

I'd bet he's not picking the songs himself... at very least,  the original database was compiled by Bob. I'm glad "Folsom" is still in there.

Hey Mike I forgot to say thanks for thinking of me with that ticket.  I couldn't have gotten away for a night game, but I appreciated the thought.

Another BOS for "Sympathy For The Devil"  Remember how this was used in Coming Home?

Awesome use of music in that film.

Sadly, you missed a Cards victory, tho' the Gigantes made it exciting at the end.
