I don't mind that Let It Be wasn't represented in this set.  I do mind the absence of MMT and YS.

And it wasn't until I saw Gaz's blog today...

...that I realized why they picked 9/9/09 as the date for all this Beatle stuff. Duh.

Was my clock off or did this set start late? I turned on the radio at what I thought was 10:12 and heard the middle of T&S. I figured I was at least a few songs in by then. Had to go during ADitL though, so missed the last two. Will try to tune in tonight. Been a rough day here. Carry That Weight, indeed.
Let's get right to it.

I regret that I didn't do more with that - I worked until almost 4 last night (copyediting R1ck St3ng3l isn't the easiest task; the guy really needs to add a few more transitional devices to his linguistic arsenal) and only got to sleep for a few hours before having to go back in.  I'll try to write more about them, and about Rock Band, tomorrow.

Wednesday we're getting an all-Beatles set -- AL's looking for suggestions.

I think she should play one from each album.

She should play some rarities. Stuff not normally heard on radio.

That could be about half their catalog. I'm sure she'll do right by us. My personal pick would be Old Brown Shoe, but there are lots that would float my boat.

And it looks like I was wrong again. While the set was fine, and several songs did float my boat, can't say too many of those songs would qualify in the Rarities column. In fact, about the only one I'd put there is Helter Skelter--and that only barely--and perhaps the demo of Across the Universe. The rest are songs I've heard plenty of.
Let's get right to it.

BOS to "The End" medley.

Hard to choose a WOS, but if I had to I'd pick "Let It Be" because I never need to hear it again. Still a great song, though.
