I think she should play one from each album.

excellent idea -- weren't some songs issued exclusively as singles?  or can we count the "past masters" LPs in there, too?

yeah, the Beatles albums had the classic British/American LP splits.  Which I guess was fixed in the CD releases, but always messes with my mind.

She should play some rarities. Stuff not normally heard on radio.

That could be about half their catalog. I'm sure she'll do right by us. My personal pick would be Old Brown Shoe, but there are lots that would float my boat.
Let's get right to it.

VH-1 Classic is doing nonstop Beatles programming in the run-up to (one after) 9/9/09; I'm watching an hourlong collection of videos (or "promo films" as the British record labels used to call 'em). Great stuff, and I'm sure it will be repeated many times throughout the week. Check yer cable menu.

As much as I'd love to hear "Revolution 9", perhaps a more realistic request would be to conclude the set with "The End".

Ahhhh...now I get it. 9/09...gotcha. So if it's the one after 9/09, shouldn't they wait until October 1 for this promo?

Is KFOG doing this because of the release of Beatles Rock Band on Wednesday? I know the entire library is out 9/8. Or is it all of the above?
