The Rolling Stone review of the remasters lists Twist and Shout as one of the highlights.  (along w Something and a few others I can't recall...)

was that George who said he saw no real difference b/w Rubber Soul and Revolver?  Never heard that before, but it makes me feel better, b/c I can't decide which I prefer.

That jumped out at me.  I hear huge differences between the two; Revolver is a more sonically diverse album.  (It's also my favorite.)

10-way tie, but BOS of BOSes to this (demo?) version of "Across the Universe."  I finally own the WWF version - got Rarities on vinyl.

BOS "Tomorrow Never Knows", which came up on the Zune while driving to Yosemite on Sunday & Adrian joined me in singing along.

btw, Yosemite day trip was great, went with another family & we all brought our bikes.  But Gabriel still had his training wheels on, and I had a funny feeling he'd want to take them off.  Sure enough, he got fed up with trying to keep up with everyone else, & asked me to take them off & within 25 minutes he had learned to ride a bike (despite many tears of frustration...by him, not me).  Very proud of him for digging in and just doing it.  And what a story he'll have whenever the subject of learning to ride comes up.

indeed, this is quite nice.  Given the setup so far -- with interview clips corresponding to the songs -- it would seem preplanned; why did AL ask for "suggestions", then?

I've had stream trouble - are we already at the end with ADitL?  Hard to follow this with anything.

Learning to ride a bike in Yosemite -- priceless.  Seriously, my favorite place on earth.

so will anyone be buying the box set?  in stereo or mono?
if not, which individual albums will you pick up first?

I might get the stereo set for my brother (and then rip the CDs for me!).
