oh those radio marketing folks with their alliteration.  One tried and true example is Two-Fer Tuesdays ... and of course 107.7 The Bone features Ta-Ta Tuesdays...   :-\

I seem to recall that KINK in Portland, when they did 10@10, did "Theme Thursday", where you had to guess the theme (sort of a "My 10 Songs" thing).

This may have been the most Morey-like set Annalisa's done in the 2 1/2 months she's been on the job. Even the bonus track was a Dave fave (and probably a bigger K than anything else she played): Talk Talk by (of course) Talk Talk.

Yesterday's set was also kinda Dave-ish (except for the welcome Mink DeVille bustout). I hope the suits haven't been on AL's case for being too obscure.  The instrumental set tomorrow will be interesting. I sent her some never-played-by-Dave suggestions:

Herbie Hancock: "Rockit"
Harold Faltermeyer: "Axel F" (from "Beverly Hills Cop")
Focus: "Sylvia"
They Might Be Giants: "Dog on Fire" (aka the closing theme from "The Daily Show" -- not sure how hard that is to find)
Mike Post, "Hill Street Blues"

I made a suggestion as well, one that Dave played just once, but I'm keepin' it a secret until tomorrow.

Moving this over from Tuesday's '82 thread:

Had a note back from AL that she'd found my suggestion "in the closet" so here's hoping it makes an appearance.

I'm always surprised how often I get responses back from her, even for just a Best of Set vote. Not every time, but at least once a week. The woman's an e-mailing machine, I tellya.
Let's get right to it.

Bustout #1, both artist and song, Les Paul "Caravan". Nice way to slip in a tribute to Mr. Polfuss, there, AL.

A very tasty start with Les Paul doing "Caravan".  I've never heard this before, and I'm a big fan of "Caravan".

This intro...is this Booker T. & the MG's? Time is Tight? TANC--I'd never heard this intro before, until we watched Respect: The Stax Records Story last Friday night (a pretty good doc, btw) and it was included there. Now here it is again.

This doesn't quite sound like the original recording of TiT that I'm used to.

I'd never heard the intro before.  Dang, you changed your post before I could fix it!  TisT!

I'm hearing some horrible artifacts on this.  Are you?

ETA:  Wow, very different version.

This weird bridge part confirms it. Not the original performance.

Wow, BOS for Euphoria.  I didn't think I'd ever hear this of KFrOG.  They're a standby on RadioParadise.

isn't this the incidental muzak we hear on the stream every once in a while?   It's very psuedo-NewAge (rhymes with "sewage")
