My turn to 86 my thread today.

But this 88 set is likely to make tomorrow's Hits From Hell sound all that much better.
Let's get right to it.

Since they were talking about ZZTop on the Morning Show today I think Dave should play "Velcro Fly". That was '88, right?

Indeed -- '95 and '88 back-to-back... yeesh!

Has Dave made any mention of HFH? I emailed him Monday to suggest Motown (or Soull Patrol) HFH in honor of Stevie Wonder's B-Day.

Shoot, I'm gonna miss HFH tomorrow: filling in a copy edit shift at the Voice, and I'm not even sure they have the necessary media apps installed.

In the meantime, Stevie dials in the biggest hit of 1988, which tells me everything I need to know about this year.  (Chicago's "Look Away" did the same thing for '89.)

Yes, he mentioned it this morning.  He couldn't bring himself to do
a Motown HFH cause he's from Detroit...  So it will be a HFH vertical tasting.

I'll miss it too, thanks to a goddamn meeting at 10, so I'll have to wait for the replay.  Surely The Voice of all places has Windows media player on its PCs?

I think he just said it was a suggestion "from a foghead".
Now I'm eight bits...

"Everybody Knows":

1) I totally don't remember this song in '88

2) I'm getting damn tired of it now.

Actually, the Voice is a nearly all-Mac environment.

I still say Dylan's Oscar-winning "Things Have Changed" is a rip-off of "Everybody Knows" and of Mr Cohen in general.
