« Reply #15 on: May 13, 2005, 10:23:20 AM »
1979-In the Navy
1980-Lost in Love
1981-Morning Train
1982-Ebony & Ivory
1983-Mr. Roboto (I've had "I am the modrin man" going thru my mind all week--now I know why!)
Let's get right to it.

So far my top (bottom) pick is In The Navy.
Village People really had only one "good" song in them...
Now I'm eight bits...

OK, this Mr Roboto song might be bad, but it sounds pretty good with headphones.    :)

And to finish it off from 1984:

Footloose! Yep, another truly bad song.
Let's get right to it.

I hope KFOG's ratings don't tank because of today!  I'm a big fan on HFH in the 10@10 context, but most of these are so bad, so really bad, my silly putty is wearing off!
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

Well, you see I actually enjoy well produced sounds (you might disagree with this) even if the song sucks!!

"Footloose" may be a lame song- but it's a fun lame song. IMHO, naturally.

    1979-In the Navy
    1980-Lost in Love
    1981-Morning Train

I like In the Navy, though it is silly.  And Morning Train's alright too.  Can't place Lost in Love.

And, for me, Mr. Roboto is a guilty pleasure.  Wonderfully over-produced and silly -- I enjoy it every time.

Don't know that I'll listen to the replay tonight, but I'm sorry I missed it.

I must say this VT HFH concept really worked -- better than I thought it would. Great set, and yes a case can be made for many of these songs (never understood the hatred for "Morning Train").  But WOS for "Let's All Chant". There's good disco and bad disco and the flurry of records at that time with "whoop-whoop-whoop!" in them -- WTF was THAT about? -- was just plain ridiculous.
