Indeed. P. T. Barnum would agree.
Let's get right to it.

Apparently HMBOMT is popular enough that they've ordered more episodes beyond the three-ep tryout.  Local rocker Greg Kihn (who dissed the show before it aired) will -- you guessed it -- be taping an episode in a couple weeks. He's looking for suggestions of a "current" song to do.

He was taking a lot of calls on this last Friday a.m., many of whom claimed to have seen GK play recently & were saying that they thought he would kick butt on the show.

Well he's gotta be better than Vanilla Ice

It's a win-win for him, since he has a steady gig; his career doesn't depend on the show.  He does play regularly, so he's "in shape" so to speak (musically, at least). He should cover a Green Day song.

He only loses in the eyes of people who don't know he's been a thriving DJ all these years; they will incorrectly assume that he's been waiting all this time for his Big. Comeback.  I wonder if this weighs on the other participants.

I think Greg's choice should be Rob Thomas's current hit, "Lonely No More."

I was listening to KUFX (KFOX 98.5) today and apparently the Hit Me Baby crew was in town today covering Greg Kihn for a show. He's a goofball. I saw him at Shoreline last year and he was great!

I think it should be something by The Killers, maybe "Smile Like You Mean It".

(isn't Rob Thomas over?)

He's uncool but he keeps making hits.  He's the Three Dog Night of the present.
