Elisha Cuthbert is Canadian.

Oh, Canada!

IMDb facts for Ms. Cuthbert:
Date of birth:  30 November 1982 Calgary, Alberta, Canada (so she actually was High School aged when she appeared on 24)

Trivia:  While trotting the globe as a correspondent for the award-winning series "Popular Mechanics for Kids" (1997), she caught the eye of First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton and was invited to Washington for a meeting with her.

Was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada but later moved and grew up in the Greenfield Park district, in Longueuil (south shore of Montreal), Quebec, Canada.

Is a former foot model

Speaks French as a result of growing up in Montreal

Dislikes flying so much that she has certain rituals she must do: like always board the plane with her right foot first. (From an April 2004 appearence on Conan O'Brien)

[June 2004] Engaged to longtime boyfriend Trace Ayala, best friend and personal assistant to Justin Timberlake.

mmmm...foot model!

never.never.get.sick.of.maude.  that uncompromisin'...

H&M woulda been QUITE a different film with Bea Arthur instead of Ruth Gordon.

"God'll getcha for that, Harold!"

Frighteningly enough, I can totally picture this.

Bea: "Ma!  Harold says he wants to LIVE!"
Estelle: "Yeah, so do I.  Where's my Medicare check?"

Pedantic note: the Counting Crows' cover was aided and abetted by Vanessa Carlton, who provided "double damage" on the ooh-bop-bop-bops.

Pre-emptive BOS will go to 3DN's "Out in the Country," though while thinking about the song this afternoon I realized how painfully redundant the opening couplet is:

"Whenever I need to leave it all behind
Or feel the need to get away ..."

Yikes.

I'm sure Paul Williams would argue that one can get away without leaving it all behind. And vice-versa.

Dave spilled the beans early, and is soliciting Foghead suggestions. The usual suspects?

Big Yellow Taxi
Where Do the Children Play?
Fresh Air
Out in the Country
Share the Land
???

Who was it that made the really egregious cover of "Big Yellow Taxi"  Train or Counting Crows?  Either way if Dave plays it I promise I'll scream in mortal agony.

indeed it was Counting Crows and I'll be screaming in unison with ya.

Aahhhh, it's Joni's version. Screaming averted. My cube mates don't know how close they came.
Let's get right to it.

Here's a somewhat accurate list of some Canadian actresses-

(I'm pretty sure Kim Cattrall's from England)

Pam Anderson. She's pretty hot.

"best friend and personal assistant to Justin Timberlake?"

that is the gayest job description I have EVER heard. I say go for it, guys -- she's obviously his beard.

I'm not sure what/who this song is, but the opening line "it's April 21st, Earth Day"--go buy a calendar, dude.

Kind of a catchy song otherwise.
Let's get right to it.

Cool, Justin needs a new community to latch onto.  Black America doesn't want him anymore after he sold Janet down the river.

I applaud Dave for digging up new material for this set.  Didn't think we'd go a-caroling, though.
