what the hell is this?

Ministry.

And here's a bit of trivia: Ministry's drummer, Bill Rieflin, is now the regular sticks-man for Scott McCaughey's & Pete Buck's popcentric Minus 5.
KFOG's 10@10 is a very popular workplace radio I would guess.  If you listened hard (after turning off the radio) you would hear the sound of radios all over the bay area being turned off or changed.  Where's my fucking advil?

The latter. But I thought Dylan at first too.
Let's get right to it.

Just another example of Dave's sometimes maddening perversity. He's afraid to play perfectly obvious pop hits from a number of different years but he'll play that song, which surely KFOG didn't play at the time of release.

Sad that it takes some Katrina Oil to light this set up.  I don't want to give BOS to "Blue Sky Mining" but I may have to.

Let's have some Whitney, for fuck's sake.  She needs the support now.

WRONG YEAR ALERT!

"Blue Sky Mine" is from 1990.

I would suspect that, If KFOG had EVER played this song outside of a 10@10 set, it was probably on some long-departed Sunday night Metal specialty show (if there ever were such a thing). I can't picture Ministry ever being part of the daily KFOG rotation.
Let's get right to it.

On second thought, it's probably all the more important to hear this now.  Every person who has ever voted in favor of bringing a Wal-Mart in their community should be subjected to regular doses of this song.

It's by now obvious that Dave owns "Wishing Well" either as a cassingle or on a compilation CD, given his refusal to play anything from this album except this and "As Yet Untitled."
