Hope you made it. The majority of the crowd WAS your age and then some. There were some downright elderly folk there. I applaud one and all.

I watched a lot of it on the streaming video.  Some of it downright cool, some pretty lame, but I kind of liked the whole 'unreconstructed hippie' vibe anyway.  Beautiful Day, Jerry Miller, Quicksilver Gold w/David Frieberg, Jefferson Starship/Family, and so on.

I made it to the Chet Helms Tribal Stomp today. What a glorious, glorious day. Beautiful music, beautiful people, beautiful stuff floating all around. I wandered the whole meadow, side to side, front to back. I was up front for Blue Cheer and Paul Kantner (Volunteers, White Rabbit + more) and a few more. Wandered a bit. Hung out in the middle for It's a Beautiful Day (White Bird was splendid!) and Canned Heat (Goin up the Country, Let's Work Together +more).

There were thousands of people and it looked like a great time was had by all. This was a thousand times more enjoyable than the Bridge Benefit would have been.

sounds like a great time! i was recovering from a 4-day bender. birthday parties, halloween parties, jonathan richman, and a woman who pooped her pants at my bar. what fun!

A Foghead yesterday said she saw him in Portland, and said he was amazing; he played for nearly 3-1/2 hours.

I've been thinking about seeing if I can scalp a ticket for U2, but otherwise, no. Will be in Chicago when the Stones are here--but that should be an EASY scalp if any of you are thinking about going, particularly if the weather is dicey.

Wow, now they've got Bonnie on KFOG, playing Mercenary, which was the penultimate song in the Boulder set just 5 minutes ago.
Let's get right to it.

I plan to head up to SBC on Tuesday night and try for a cheap or free last minute ticket. If nothing, I'll just try to listen from outside and go home.
Paul tix are avail for tonight but at $250, I can't do it.
