"Shattered?"

nope, but very warm

Beast of Burden?

In fact neither of those are even in the Db, but you have the correct album.

Then it's either "Respectable" or "Miss You".

Um, "Respectable."

Since we're guaranteed a classic set today, maybe another one of these will help pass the time.

When sorted alphabetically by artist and then song title, there is only one instance (out of over 12,000 entries) where 2 artists have appeared consecutively with versions of the same song*.  Name the one song & two artists.

*This means that the first artist has no songs after the one in question, and the second artist has none in front.  Which is a roundabout way of pointing out that they are either obscure only-in-the-Bay-Area bands or OHW's.

Your last hint tells me I'm wrong when I guess "Come and Get Your Love" (Real McCoy / Redbone).

You're right that you're wrong.

2nd hint: the only-in-the-Bay-Area act was fronted by a guy who is still locally prominent.

But you've got to give me credit for a decent guess.   :D

I'm at a lack for other guesses; can you give us the respective years, or is that too much?

Another hint, you'll hear at least a snippet of the original version of this song weekly if you listen to Big Rick.

The original is from 1967, the Bay Area band cover is from the late 70's.

I'm at a loss.  But now I wish the answer were the Casinos/Glen Campbell, "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye."

finally getting some free time to try to polish off the edit of the Db, noticed another quizzable fact.

This band has by far the most songs in the Db that contain numbers in the titles, 6 total, including a double digit & a triple digit entry.

(Note - in some cases the number is spelled as a word in the title, as in 'eight miles high')

Is it the Beatles?

One After 909
Two of Us
Revolution #1
Revolution #9 (Dave's never actually played this, has he?)
and damn if I can think of any others right now, though Paul solo and with Wings would add to the totals ("1984," has Dave ever played "Figure of Eight"?) ...

Nope, not the Beatles.  I've never heard of that first song anyway.
