Did he say that, or just no news?
Let's get right to it.

Early BOS for The Fixx.  For some reason, they take me back to college more so than most other bands from the same era.  Maybe because they haven't been played to death like, say, Simple Minds.

Well, he said both actually.

I'm watching A's/Twins (it's on ESPN, and thank god it's Jon Miller), so limited comments this morning.

He said it after the wheel spun & Don Pardo announced 1983. I thought he was just commenting on the quality of the set to come.  But I missed everything before that point; did he say something else earlier?

That was a minor breakout, it's not in the Db.

I don't know if it's a guilty pleasure, or an indication that I'm completely crazy, but I honestly never get tired of this Toto song.

He said something along the lines of "no news today, because some days are better without it." Or something to that effect.

So far the Fixx is leading my personal BOS race, although I admit to still being fond of the oft-played Message to My Girl. Those Finn brothers do no wrong--well, little wrong anyway.

Get ready for a bailout of this Tubes song-sounds like another CD that was used as a dinner plate.

Real BOS for the Tubes, though I know this will be unpopular.  A good and funky song, even though its a very silly double entendre.  Is that Philip Bailey? -- I knew once.

Whew! It made it. Good, too, as I love that horn chart.

BOS for the Heads.  "Girfriend Is Better".

Dave, did the LSJUMB ever do this, or any other TH songs?

I dig GiB too.  Hmmmm.  I think they may have attempted "Burning Down the House", but it wasn't good.  Nothing stuck in the repertoire.

AMG says that was arranged by Dominic Frontiere, of all people.  AMG doesn't list the credits, so I oculdn't confirmthat that was Philip Bailey.  But I sure thought it sounded like him.
