...as I love that horn chart.

AMG says that was arranged by Dominic Frontiere, of all people.  AMG doesn't list the credits, so I oculdn't confirmthat that was Philip Bailey.  But I sure thought it sounded like him.

Who's Dominic Frontiere?  WOS for John Waite.  Actually, this isn't as irritating as "Missing You", but I just don't like him, Babys notwithstanding.
ETA: I'm an idiot.  Bryan Adams, not John Waite.

First thing you'd know is he composed the theme from The Outer Limits.  He was a jazz composer, film & TV composer (he also did "Hang 'Em High", with a very lengthy career.

I liked the set. Not one song I hated. I even liked the Duran Duran song even though they are probably one of the first boy bands ever.

"Boy bands" implies that they were contrived, put together by a svengali -- so the Beatles are 1/4 correct, I suppose.  The first boy band was probably either New Edition or New Kids on the Block, the latter really setting the template.

Well, New Edition predate NKOTB by 5 years (at least in terms of charted singles), so...
