Too bad this didn't show up later in the year, it'd've become a ubiquitous Halloween costume.

DAY-um!  That pic is scarifyingly priceless.  If I had PhotoShop at work it'd be my new avatar.

when life was so much more worth living?
you know you'll never sing that way a-a-gaaaiiiin!
didn't you almost have it all?

couldn't you stand the test of time
when you were young and new?
couldn't you reach inside to find
that girl so sweet and true?
you'll never see her again
'cause once you know what crack is
you'll always have imaginary frieeeeennnnnds!"

the week's most bizarre story, so far:

Director Lee Tamahori, who made the great film Once Were Warriors as well as Mulholland Falls and the 2002 Bond flick Die Another Day, was arrested over the weekend for dressing up as a woman and offering to perform sex-for-pay to an undercover cop.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060203/ap_en_mo/people_lee_tamahori

Now, granted, his most recent film was the XXX sequel with Ice Cube (which bombed), but jeez.

I was thinking he looks a bit like Terence Stamp, who did drag in Priscilla Queen of the Desert.  Apparently the LA Times (ever the company paper in a company town) buried the story -- you'd think it would be bigger news, at least in El Lay.

Tom and Katie sittin in a... skybox

That's them at the USA/Mexico baseball game at Angels Stadium. (They were shown on the jumbotron -- gee d'ya think that was planned?)  Meanwhile his people are denying he had anything to do with the rerun of the South Park "Scientology" episode being cancelled Wed nite at the last minute.

Maybe Tom should just marry Isaac Hayes. I'm sure he's tasted chocolate salty balls before.

The best thing about that pic is the person sitting next to them--the eyes tell all!

I assume Katie hasn't popped yet? Can't really tell from that angle.
Let's get right to it.
