lawd! we on da Westbound numbah 9 wit JJ!

rarities: Stevie's "I Don't Know Why I Love You" (later covered by the J-5) is a major treat this morning. Ditto Freddie Hughes' "Send My Baby Back".

Dionne W says a little prayer for more coke.

ETA: later, on The Boardwalk, Brenda Holloway's orig "You've Made Me So Very Happy", always a delight.

wow: NTM, Bobby W's cover of "A Hundred Pounds of Clay", nicely done.

I'm consistently amused that The Boardwalk plays Jonathan Edwards' "Shanty" regularly.  Let's get a good buzz on!

ETA: I *never* tire of Tom Jones' "Sex Bomb" -- I really hope I can get AL to play it in a 2000 set someday.

1340: This David Ruffin cover of "I want You Back" is one of my fave I-didn't-know-that-existed discoveries of the year. Stellar.
