The "Q" section consisted entirely of "Queer" by Garbage.

Q-songs from 10@10:

Quattro - Calexico
Queen Bitch - David Bowie
Queen Of Hearts - Dave Edmunds
Queen of Hearts - Juice Newton
Queer - Garbage
Queer Enough For You - Mukilteo Fairies
Question - Moody Blues
Questions 67 & 68 - Chicago Transit Authority
Quicksand - Martha & the Vandellas
Quicksilver Girl - Steve Miller Band

Biggest oddity/rarity so far, for me anyway: Real Life, "Send Me an Angel", which is hardly what I'd call a "10@10 staple", like many other songs we've heard so far. I'd call it a "forgotten 45." Nice choice. Of course it was followed by Adele, but there you are.

We're in the "Te" section ("Teen Angst", "Tennis Court" etc) so I guess Renee & Co will be playing the tail end of the Ws in the AM.

Quattro - Calexico

Isn't it called "Song Of Quattro"? In either case, somehow I think it was missed. Which would be a shame because it was a pleasant discovery I made... from KFOG's own New Releases Thursday, when it was done 8-10 PM.

I'd originally thought the singer was Kenny Loggins.

MODIFY: A quick internet search says it is indeed simply "Quattro". That means for nearly 12 years I've been calling it wrong. Wonder why nobody's called me on it.

I didn't take into consideration the fact that they would be doing the "The" songs as a group (instead of dropping the word as is often done). So we were still in the T's when I tuned in at 6.  Interesting omission: we heard Hootie's "Time" and Green Day's "Time of Your Life" but not "Time the Avenger".

Seems they are in suddenly in a big hurry to wrap today.  As far as I can tell they only played 2 "When" songs and only a small number of what or what's songs.

I can imagine that the bypass of 2 or 3 songs on my mental list were worth the avoidance of 4 Non-Blondes it, but geez!!!

That was what I worried about in Reply #7.

We're into the "You" songs (12 of those, so far). The "X" song was Blondie "X-Offender", of course.

There were 4 "When"s, BTW:

When You Were Young - The Killers
When the World Is Running Down - The Policemen (yes, Tune Genie still calls them that)
When Love Comes to Town - U2 & B.B. King
When I Come Around - Green Day

And we closed it out with 3 Z's:  Ziggy Stardust, Zombie, and Zooropa.

I found it all rather ho-hum, with the surprises being few and far-between. Hardly the "OMG I haven't heard this in ages!"-fest it was in years past.

I didn’t get that impression -- considering how quickly they went through this thing, I thought they spent a lot of time on the W’s. I missed that section, but looking at the playlist on Tunegenie, they played 7 What, 1 Whatever, and 3 What’s. (including the 4 Non-Blondes song)

Ditto. The best thing about it was hearing no repeats for a week. I did hear the second song that I found truly out of format night, “White Lines” from Grandmaster Flash/Mel.
