I'm no longer confooooosed, I think.  Heh.  I thought The Rascals was Moby Grape, but I no longer think that.  Regarding the Iron Butterfly song, the "...no" was my capsule review of the song, not disagreeing that that was who it was.  Sorry about that, chiefs.

"we came in peace for all mankind"

Can you imagine the ruckus that choice of words would raise today on the right?  They'd denounce it as namby-pamby, PC and not nearly American enough.

Coincidentally I went to the Hornet Museum Saturday.  The Hornet is an aircraft carrier docked in Alameda and turned into a museum.  One of it's claims to fame is that it retrieved the Apollo 11 capsule and crew.  They have a very nice exhibit dedicated to the space program and the Hornet's part in it.  Plus, they have Neil Armstrong's footprints painted on the deck.

Anyway, a worthwhile outing.  I understand that they are having trouble paying the bills, so you might want to go soon (though they're discussing moving it to SF).  14 bucks, for adults.

To be properly P.C.- you'd have to change it to "humankind". Or "peoplekind"

What a marvy set.  I am truly sorry I missed it.  If we have an early issue close tonight I'll be able to catch the replay, but in case I don't, is anyone planning to tape?

And Ali - So you've done the deed, have ya?  Good on you!  Destination known or unknown?

Lastly, if any of you know anyone who's looking for journalistic coverage of the Streaming Media East conference taking place the next two days in NYC, I'm looking for someone to cover it for.  Firing blanks so far in my contact list.

Ciao for now,
Gaz.

Hey Gaz -- if you're near a TV tomorrow nite (Tues), ESPN's "Teammmates" game show, in which teammates answer questions about each other, Newlywed Game-style, is featuring the pairing of Barry Zito and Eric Byrnes. A lovely couple.

I have seen a couple promos for this and am SO EAGER to see it.  I think it's a fab idea, and that they got a metro like Zito to do it thrills the heart of my cockles.  I'm sure the Gym Sports Bar will show this -- first time they'll actually KNOW what's on ESPN beforehand.

Not a fave LZ song, but still pretty good.  Great guitar solo saves the day.  Bonzo's over-zealous symbol bashing is irritating, though.
Is there any other kind?
