VHM Donny O's sweet "Why"

Rod wears it well; Leon walks a tightrope; Rick N parties at the Garden.

uber-BOS8 Rick Springfield's forgotten "Speak to the Sky", one for the "Jeezus Rock" 10@10 we'll never hear.

I'm off to see Frankenweenie -- BOS-in-absentia for Neil D's "Play Me". I'll be spared "My Ding-a-Ling", at least.

Yes it's another double-dip on That '70s Casey: stations have a choice of Oct 16th 1971 or Oct 13th 1973. Odd.

BOS7 Kris Kristofferson , "Carly Simon's boyfriend" as Casey calls him.  The 5-D's cover of "Never My Love" was kinda unnecessary too but Ms McCoo does such a lovely job I'll VHM it.

Checking out 1973 on magic 98: Mr Croce's got a name -- and a debut at #40. Looking Glass' *other* hit, "Jimmy Loves Maryanne" is an underappreciated gem; Miss Rubina Flake's "Jesse" is a Janis Ian compo.

The Osmonds always win me over in ballad mode: "Let Me In" gets a VHM.  Oh, now I remember this show -- Casey played the wrong side of the Marvin/Diana duet. Whoopsies.

Bobby Goldsboro loses his virginity. Ick.

VHM Billy Preston's forgotten "Space Race"

uber-BOS2 Art Garfunkel's gorgeous "All I Know". One of the most brilliant pop hits that never ever gets played on Oldies stations.

VHM "Delta Dawn"; always a BOS3 for Bassetball Jones, oh baby oo-oo-ooooh.

1981 Hour 1: BOC are burnin'; Billy Squier's in the dark; Barry M gets a VHM for liking old songs.

WOS Diesel: I can't believe this was a Top 40 hit -- I truly had never heard it until Dave Morey came along.

WOS2 the godawful Beach Boys "medley".

unexpected VHM, ARS -- "Alien", which I'd truly forgotten.  And forgettable is the word for the BeeGees misfire "He's a Liar".

ONJ begins her looooong chart stay with "Physical".

Hour 2 is pretty damn dull, esp if the highlight is Marty Balin's Scaggs-ian "Atlanta Lady".

...ah, but Hour 3 begins with "Hill St Blues" -- BOS1.

VHM Jarreau hands! uber-BOS2 Lulu, "I Could Never Miss You.."

uber-uber-BOS3 Kenny Rogers (with stellar backing vox from Gladys Knight) "Share Your Love". Easily one of his best singles.

Hour 1 of 1986 has been a deadly-dull affair (Hornsby, Billy Ocean, a double-dip of Lionel Ritchie) but BOS1 Ree-Ree 'n' Keef on "Jumpin' Jack Flash".

WOS1: Peter Cetera/Amy Grant.  WOS2 Toto's "I'll Be Over You", which sounds like something Cetera turned down.

BOS2 Oran "Juice" Jones -- you just a squirrel tryin' to git a NUT!

BOS1 ED&JFC and the swoon-worthy "NIghts are Forever"

Salsoul Orch's "Nice'n'Nasty" is not one of the best examples of mid-'70s dico.
