stream's still kinda in-n-out, but Judge's gem of the day (so far) is Stacey Lattisaw's lovely "Let Me Be Your Angel".

listening to the podcast of Saturday's CGSS, and Greg plays Donna Summer's seldom-heard "Winter Melody", the ballad from her "4 Seasons of Love" LP, one of several disco concept albums she did in the late '70s. Loverly.

Time once again for the annual somafm.com Xmas feed -- fabulous stuff as always.  Stan Freberg as we speak.  And this year they also have a "Xmas Lounge" channel.  As Mr Freberg would say, "Great Stuff!"

Alan Jackson takes the otherwise treacly "Please Daddy, Don't Get Drunk This Xmas" (orig done by John Denver and written by the Danoffs of Starland Vocal band fame) and turns it into a honky-tonk two-stepper. Yee Haw!

Sweeney plays one of MJ's best (and least-played) '80s singles, "Leave Me Alone" -- in fact iirc it was a 45 in the UK but not the US.

December 18, 1971 is our AT40 flashback.  #28 was the New Seekers, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing."  And at #26?  Um, the Hillside Singers, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing."

At 24, up 6: Honey Cone, "One Monkey Don't Stop No Show."

And the trivia -- which female artist has had the most #1 hits? -- had an outdated answer of Patti Page (!) and Connie Francis, with 3 each.  That'd take a few years to change.
