Andy Gibb, "Time Is Time"?  Wasn't this 1980 or '81?  I think Dave queued up the wrong track.

VHM to "Every Kinda People," which I haven't heard since Dave used it in a Pride set some years ago.

You mean Joe Walsh's "Indian Summer"?

Meanwhile, BOS to the Jefferson Starship, "Runaway."  I spent the whole weekend listening to Red Octopus due to a visit from the great (and unrequited) love of my life, through whom "Miracles" and "There Will Be Love" derive much of their meaning in my life.

Still don't know why Marty Balin channels Tina Turner on the bridge of this one, though: "sun is comin', and it's gettin' wow-mahhhhh ..."

WOS to Eddie Money, "Baby Hold On."  Lyrical hack work.

HM to the theme from "Alice."  There's a fresh freckled face in the neighborhood!

I predict RGMike is giving Ram Jam his BOS vote.

Is "Point of Know Return" about Jesus' second coming?

Inspired by RGMike's thread about Gwen Stefani's "Rich Girl"?

I'd like to give this BOS but I still think of Nina Simone's cover when I hear it.  In hindsight, this just doesn't sound like a #1 hit to me.  Ah, chart perfidy ...

"Blue days, black nights" -- an inspiration for Freedy Johnston and a VHM from me.

I think they'll play some U.S. dates after the obligatory arm-twisting.  Maybe it'll even be at the Grammy awards.  The lure of lucre is too great not to.

The "its"/"it's" thing is one of the most common errors I encounter at the Voice, surprisingly.  But the most common these days is the misspelling of "Condoleezza," which is far from a pet peeve of mine.

My biggest pet peeves include:

unnecessary quotation marks: We're Selling "Donuts"
incorrect possessives: We're Selling Donut's
misunderstanding of $ vs (cents symbol): Donuts: 0.75(cents symbol) each

The worst was a sign for a restaurant on Charles Street in Boston.  They claimed: We Have "Fresh" "Crab" ... I had no idea if those quotes were supposed to signify metaphoric facsimiles, but I didn't stay to find out.

I love it!  Statistical evidence for the (temporary) banning of 1989 from the wheel!  Wouldn't have expected a standard bell curve, but there you have it.

Sorry I missed all this.  You two have had a nice serve and volley going here.

And yes, Freddie's as cool as the bottom side of the pillow.
