17 Jan 2014: it's... 1970
« on: January 16, 2014, 03:28:19 PM »
it's been a week where the oldest set was from '84.  Friday cries out for '70s, at least, but I'm thinking it may be our 2004 debut.

10@10:05?  RR is a tad behind sked.

ETA: 1970! SCHWEET!  Starting with little-heard Van the Man.  Impressive.

Looking to borrow trouble?

I note that in 2013, the first 2003 set didn't appear until late September.  But 2003 actually
debuted in September 2011, a month after the first appearances of both 2001 and 2002.
Also debuting in 2011 was 2000, on July 12th.

I'm in no hurry to hear 2004.

Well, they had to fit in the RR/GG dialogue, whatever that was about.

Somebody clearly saw Matthew McConnaughey's acceptance speeches this week. "All right, all right, all right!"

Swore I heard a '3' at the end of the lead-in. Need my ears check, I guess.

VHM CCR, "Up Around the Bend" is still one of my 2 or 3 faves of theirs.

I don't remember the last time I heard it. Was kind of ambivalent about it.
