I thought the Dead's version was older.

This Marley is great, but probably in the LN category. Anything from Legend is, but he's one of those artists (like the Stones, for example) whose lesser known songs are often the same caliber as their hits.

But unlike the Stones, most of Marley's songs do in fact sound the same.

I wonder if this and Costello are going to be the most punk rock songs of the set. I guess punk wasn't too happening on American radio in '77. I don't remember hearing it (at eight years old).

the more progressive FM stations were playing the Ramones and Sex Pistols at that point. But then I was in NYC and the proximity to CBGBs made radio more aware.

oh, well, this set twern't no party, it weren't no disco, and there was  very little fooling around. It was certainly no Mudd club, nor CBGB & OMFUG

we're getting used to this now.
