BOS for the Smithereens, not least because my former band, The Random Numbers, used to play it.

you were in a band? do tell!

We were pretty much a KFOG cover band that played mostly at Stanford campus parties, and a couple times at a dive in Sunnyvale called the Oasis.  We actually had a gig scheduled there when the band disintegrated.  I had to call the owner and tell her we couldn't make it.  They'd already put posters up saying we were coming.  I felt terrible, and still do whenever I think of it.  That was in 1991!  I played guitar and tenor sax and sang, after a fashion.

a dedicated follower, i'm sure! don't feel too bad about cancelling the gig. it happens. it's like cancelling a dentist's appointment. they all have to listen to muzak instead.

HM VH ... I really have issues with Mr Hagar, so it's tough for me to give his version of VH a BOS. This is one of their better tunes, tho'.

damn. i sort of enjoyed that set. i was really digging the van hagar. i'm the only person i know who likes van hagar. except for that guy with the garage band in high school. but he was a bit obsessive about it.

OK I really don't care about an '86 bonus track. And last week I stuck around and missed Greg's first 2 songs. So off to CGSS I go.

I play(ed) alto sax (haven't touched it in a lo-o-o-o-ng time) and drums (poorly, and I don't currently have a kit).
Let's get right to it.

Yep. Also a snare drum, a ride cymbal, and a pair of hi-hat cymbals (but no hardware).
