the Pee-Wee clips need to be retired for a while.

But OMFG: uber-BOS2 Kirsty MacColl covering Billy Bragg!  I'm on FY-uh with getting requests played lately.
Big BOS for Kirsty MacColl song I've never heard before (speaking of dead singers...).

I'll dig up the Billy Bragg version. he wrote an extra verse for her because she wanted to record the song but it was kinda short.

Can I assume we're talking about her cover of A New England here?
Let's get right to it.

oops, yes. (who do you think you are? Geoff?)

‎04/20/12 - Friday! 1985
1. The Commodores - Night Shift
2. Mike and the Mechanics - All I Need Is a Miracle
(Movie: Pee-wee's Big Adventure - He's a rebel!)
3. Kritsy MacColl - A New England
4.A-ha - Take On Me
( News - Musicians and fans gather at Live Aid in Philadelphia and Farm Aid in Champaign, Illinois for concerts with a cause)
5. John Cougar Mellencamp - Lonely Ol' Night
6. Tom Waits – Downtown Train
(TV: Golden Girls – Rose (Betty White) enjoys living on the “wild side” with her toll-booth running new boyfriend)
7. Phil Collins – Take Me Home
(TV: Golden Girls –Blanche (Rue McClanahan) thinks if Rose really wasn’t interested in dating anymore, she’d let her hair go natural.
8. Stevie Wonder – Part Time Lover
(TV: The Golden Girls – Sophia (Estelle Getty) enjoys being whacked-out on medication.
9. John Fogerty – Rock ‘n’ Roll Girls
10. The Waterboys – The Whole of the Moon (BOS)

I'm still trying to figure out how I suddenly became "Mr Request" this week -- 6 songs in 8 days. (in pairs, no less) I'm responsible 4 of the bustouts in that period, I think. AL's most excellent week in some time, a lackluster 1992 notwithstanding.

BTW, anyone notice that Jose F doesn't post in G-snipes? Even on sat morning (he listens to AT40 but has his own thread) I think he thinks we're too mean, or something...

so, less than 24 hours after I said this -- JF is in G-snipes doing the Casey Kasem thang. Coincidence?
