If Bob can come up with one lost gem on a par with the Patti Smith cut the Peak played in their '79 set earlier, I'll be happy.

Bit of over-acting from his stand-in on the front-announce, no?

BadCO: "Gone Gone Gone" -- haven't heard this in quite a while.

The guy sitting in for Bob is a tad... snarky.

With "Beautiful Girls" as evidence, I'd argue that those chrome-plated-sheen background vocals define VH's then-unique sound as much as Eddie's guitar wizardry.

Yeah; and we even got MP clips in someone's '75 set last week.  Demerits for the newbie!

Lowell George's death cited as an example of "cruel to be kind"?!  Either he has no idea what that phrase means, or he's WAY snarkier than Aidin V ever dreamed of being!

That songs seems quite the Aerosmith cop to me. Not that that's a bad thing.  Maybe Aerosmith could cover it on the inevitable VH tribute CD.

VHM2: the Iggles' "Sad Cafe", Henley does this sort of thing better than most. And it's one of the cuts from Long Run that doesn't get overplayed. Tho' I'd've preferred "The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks"...

Sorry, but I still think the Scissor Sisters did a far better take on "Comfortably Numb."

Ha!  I was thinking the exact same thing -- clearly DLR had been listening to a bit of "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way" to get his rap down.

Finally getting sound, now that I restarted my laptop.

Holy Grail was indeed '75, for '79 he shoulda played Life of Brian.

I'll tell you my favorite line from LoB if you tell me yours.
