Matthews can be annoying but he also doesn't tolerate BS from guests, as this illustrates. Mr James is one of the literally hundreds of Limbaugh/O'Reilly clones on AM radio stations all over the country. VERY scary.

This bonehead clearly had a list of talking points he'd been coached on, but had no background for those points. And Matthews called him on his shit. Good for him.

Also loved the part where Matthews asked him why he was yelling. I bet that's how James does 90% of his show--it makes him sound passionate and gets listeners fired up, and obscures the fact that he's just spouting rhetoric.

And yelling (to some extent) *works* on radio -- it's what MOST of those Rush/Savage/Glenn Beck-style wingnuts do -- but on TV it just makes you look like a moron.

In agreement with ya.  As an aside, as one blog respondent pointed out, the Rockstar beverage company was started by Savage's son.  I strongly encourage avoiding those products for that reason.  (I drink a lot of energy drinks, and disliked that one anyway: it has milk thistle, which wreaks havok on my digestive system.)

He's doing Olbermann tonite.  McClellan has long been rumored to, er, have something in common with Gaz & myself -- I'm wondering how long before someone in the right-wing blogosphere attempts to "out" him. This story will be front-an-center thru the weekend at least, as he'll be doing the Sunday talking-head shows.
