as long as we get some Rush, I'll be happy.

 :-[

in fact, AL should just play Moving Pictures in its entirety (I believe that's seven songs), then throw on Xanadu, Bastile Day and By-Tor and the Snow Dog)

k.d. lang's rendition of "Hallelujah" for the Olympics made the Hot 100 this week - only her second charter there!  I could see us getting that, if AL grabbed a copy.

(Saving for another day the question of whether the world needs another "Hallelujah.")

easily the most over-covered song of the past decade. (Even Leonard Cohen thinks so!)  But you don't really want to hear it, do you?

Quote
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

BOS to my favorite Joni Mitchell song - I'm stunned to hear "Coyote."

Having a shitty day at work, so this is all the more welcome.

HM to Guess Who.  Wonder if there'll be any overlap between my blog post and AL's set.

as I said yesterday, "fat chance", though Anne Murray is a possibility and the Bob & Doug Mackenzie novelty would be a fairly painless way to meet our Geddy Lee quota.

ETA: don't forget Austin "Bob"s replay tonite to hear Kon Kan.

VHM "Chest Fever", which is the result when figure skaters wear skimpy outfits.

BOS from me.  The organ is just so huge in this song.  And you can't complain about that.

Song's too sludgy for me.

Speaking of sludgy, what the heck is up with this version of "Hey Hey My My"?  Is this with Pearl Jam?  Damn, it's thick, and not in a good way.

Fefe Dobson - in the Deon Ferrus/Tasmin Archer class of African-American women who were basically given one hit then ignored by radio.

Technically a two hit wonder.  Nobody plays either of them anymore.

Big Yellow Taxi by the Counting Crows, anyone? :-X (I know they're not Canadian, but this song counted towards the 35% Can-Con rule.)

I wouldn't mind hearing some Glass Tiger, Tragically Hip, or Blue Rodeo.
